Do I need a referral from a doctor to see a physical therapist?
- In most cases, no referral is needed to schedule an appointment with one of our physical therapists. However, some insurance providers may require a referral, so please check with your insurance.

How do I know if my insurance will cover my treatment?

While we attempt to verify coverage and obtain any required authorization for physical therapy and behavioral health services, please note that verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment.
Some insurance plans require prior authorization, and if authorization is denied or still under review, and you wish to proceed, you may be responsible for paying our Standard Visit Fee. This fee can be reimbursable if authorization is approved later.

Will I be treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)?
- Absolutely. When scheduling Physical Therapy, you will always be treated by a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, not an assistant. Our DPTs provide hands-on care and work closely with you to achieve your health and recovery goals.

What role do the Athletic Trainers play at BEST?
- Our Athletic Trainers work with athletes from partnering high schools, providing on-site support during practices and games. She also offers athletic training evaluations at our facility, addressing sports-related injuries, overuse issues, and providing return-to-play plans.

Are Athletic Training services only for high school athletes?
- No, Athletic Training services are available to athletes of all levels who want to enhance their performance or recover from an injury. Whether you are a student-athlete, a weekend warrior, or a professional, our services can help optimize your performance.

Will I be treated by a Registered Dietitian (RD)?
- Absolutely. You will always be guided by a licensed and registered dietitian, not an nutritionist. Our RDs provide personalized, evidence-based nutritional care and work closely with you to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
