Krista Caldwell Ward, PT, DPT, CDN
Clinic Director
Krista earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. During her undergraduate years, she competed in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track—an early foundation for her lifelong passion for fitness and movement.
Krista specializes in orthopedics and pelvic health physical therapy, with particular expertise in treating fitness athletes, TMJ dysfunction, and concussion rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages—from children to older adults—return to the activities they love, whether that’s competing in sports, exercising, gardening, or playing with their children and grandchildren.
As a fitness-forward therapist, Krista believes there is always a safe way to train through injury. She integrates a variety of techniques into her treatment plans, including dry needling, Kinesio taping, IASTM, myofascial decompression (cupping), soft tissue and joint mobilizations, and functional strength-based movement. She is also certified in the treatment of the fitness athlete, as well as rehabilitation for pregnant and postpartum patients.
Outside of the clinic, Krista is an accomplished athlete herself. She has competed in Spartan races, rock climbing competitions, and even on American Ninja Warrior, where she was one of the few women to successfully complete the course—an achievement she’s incredibly proud of. In her free time, Krista enjoys spending time with her husband Sean, their daughter Adalynn, and their two dogs, Sammy and Rey.
