Trevor Lewis, PT, DPT, COMT
Clinic Director
Trevor received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY after completing an undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Oswego in 2010. He played soccer, basketball, and tennis in High School but branched out into as many intramurals as possible throughout undergrad and graduate school.
Trevor believes you should never stop learning and he is always looking for new techniques, approaches, and skills to assist in helping his patients achieve the best outcomes. Trevor is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT), which has provided him with advanced training performing soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, and diagnostic skills. He has a Certification in Scientific Therapeutic Exercise Progressions (C-STEP), which utilizes precisely dosed exercise with current research to achieve specific responses such as tissue healing, motor control, or strength training. Trevor is also a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner, has a FMT Rockpods Myofascial Cupping Certification, and is Certified in Dry Needling. In addition, he has training in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), treatment of TMJ disorders, Functional Movement Screening (FMS), return to sports training, McKenzie Method, and Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR).
Trevor enjoys making connections with his patients and strives to make every person walking through his door feel heard and welcome. He has experience working with all ages, populations, and diagnoses. Trevor focuses on assessing and progressing at each session in order to provide the patient with relief as quickly as possible, while avoiding any type of “cookie cutter” treatments. As a manual therapist, Trevor uses a wide range of hands-on techniques but also understands the importance of movement and exercise for the body to fully heal and recover.
While not in the clinic, Trevor enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, trying new restaurants, traveling, weight-lifting, brewing beer, and watching football.
